My Kitchari Cleanse Story
A few years back, I was in a funk. A few months prior, my relationship ended unexpectedly and abruptly. Worse than that, my beloved business I run with my mom and sister for 10 years was struggling, in a big way. Because of this, I had to move since I could no longer afford where I was living. It was a royal flush of bad luck, my relationship, my work and my home…gone.
One Sunday, I was enjoying brunch with a friend (one of those precious angels who was willing to sit with me through my struggles) when she said, “I think I’m going to do a cleanse.” I immediately perked up. Yes! That was exactly what I needed. To cleanse not just my body, but my mind and my soul. I needed clarity about the next steps in my life & I needed to shed the residue of all that had recently gone down.
Not Just a Cleanse, a Kitchari Cleanse!
I had done a cleanse many times before so when I got back to my new, 484sq ft. apartment, I began to assemble my supplies for a kitchari cleanse. The next two weeks unfolded like a dream. It was the most effective and smooth cleanse I had ever done. I felt luminous, like I shed decades of negative thinking and limited perspective. It was a deeply nourishing experience. Many people asked me about it in response to a few posts on social media and that’s when I realized you had to be an expert to do what I had just done. Literally decades of training and experience informed this kitchari cleanse.
