Renewal Retreat

Treat yourself to a weekend of renewal.  February 19-21.

Get away and get clarity around your purpose for 2016.  Be inspired by like-minded yoginis gathering on the shores of Great Lake Michigan.  We will commune and contemplate. You will be guided in the deeper practices of intention setting (sankalpa), through yoga nidra (the sleep of the yogis) and intelligent yoga practices that will balance body, energy and mind.  Friday and Sunday are open for socializing or serenity.  Saturday is a day of silent reflection.

The Schedule:

Arrive anytime after 4pm on Friday, February 19th.  Friday evening will be spent connecting and relaxing as well as getting oriented to the day of silence to follow.  Dinner will be a simple, nourishing, cleansing meal of kitchari (an Ayurvedic porridge of rice and beans). There is a sauna to enjoy as well.

Saturday will be spent in silence. At 9am I’ll guide you through a gentle yoga practice followed by a full yoga nidra sesion. Two meals of kitchari will be served, at 10:30am and 5:30pm.  A second practice session of gentle yoga focusing on body sensing and opening followed by yoga nidra will be at 4pm.  A “Creative Table” will be set up with optional prompts and materials for you to explore and create, as you like.  Bring your outdoor gear, get out and explore nature.  There is a bird sanctuary and trails nearby.

Sunday morning at 8:30am I will guide you through a more firey, yet intelligent practice to light fire to the intentions you have set and increase the clarity you have gained over the weekend.  A leisure, wholesome brunch with laughter and conversation to follow.  Enjoy the serenity of this special retreat cottage up until 2pm.
