The science of the mind has been little understood in the West until very recently.  The science of Yoga is thousands of years old and gives us all the tools we need to feel vibrant, connected and at ease.

Individualized well-being sessions are available for children of all ages, their families and individuals.

This session addresses specific conditions as well as preventative habits tailored to an individual’s unique constitution. It enhances well-being and reveals a state of good inherent to us all.  Rather than focusing on parts and pieces that need fixing, we look at your wholeness and how to expand into the highest expression of yourself.

I specialize in working with children and adults who have difficulty processing and integrating their sensory experiences and who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and difficulty learning as well as those who have been exposed to trauma. I can help you recognize and release that which stands in your way of being who you came here to be.

You will be supported in developing or refining a lifestyle/routine that best serves your stated mission…

…once that has been defined in our sessions.  This may include anything from taking a look at bedtime routines, to diets to alternative strategies for homework or strategies for socializing with friends.  This work is meant to be fun, life-affirming and “doable.”  Small changes over time lead to huge shifts toward well being.

In addition to practices typically found in Yoga (regulated breathing, yoga postures and deep relaxation) I use a protocol known as “iRest” Yoga Nidra that has been approved by the Army Surgeon General as a complimentary practice for Vets returning home with PTSD. iRest is an evidence-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns and calms the nervous system.  It has been shown to decrease stress, anxiety, fear and depression.  It can increase energy levels, improve interpersonal relations, and bring a greater sense of joy, confidence and ease in life.
