Welcome. I’m happy to see you here.

Mira Binzen, C-IAYT
Yoga Life Stylist
First, About You:
You are a savvy person who has a sneaking suspicion that there is something more to this practice of “Yoga” than you find at typical group exercise type of yoga classes.
You recognize parenting as a pilgrimage and have taken on this immense challenge with fierce determination and a sense of humor (and a small dose of dazed and confused).
You have an exceptional child who doesn’t fit neatly into the boxes of ever-narrowing “norms.”
You have a secret yearning to learn more about the ancient wisdom of Yoga and how it can help you find your purpose and live a life of mastery – or at least have more energy to take care of the kids.
You are looking for a natural way to heal your whole self and whole family.
You wonder if there aren’t some simple daily rituals that can change your life…and your child’s life too.
Have you ever wished you could wave a magic wand that ensures your child:
- Develops a sense of self that is strong enough to survive the slings and arrows of life?
- Won’t succumb to negative peer influence?
- Has a proper foundation early in life so he can excel later in life?
- Feels like she doesn’t need to be perfect?
- Experiences wellbeing in body, mind and spirit?
You have finally been granted your wish. I can help. I am an exceptional child grown up and a savvy woman myself, when it comes to Yoga. Yoga is much like this magic wand and I can teach you to wield it with grace and ease.
I’ve been helping children and parents just like you for over 20 years to decrease chaos and stress while increasing meaning and purpose.
The science of yoga has been around for thousands of years…
and I have been immersed in the practice and lifestyle for decades. I’m deeply committed to bringing this practice to you in a way that is simple and accessible. Everyone deserves to feel vibrant, connected and at ease. My passion is the well being of children and the adults in their lives. I’m here to support you in creating and sustaining a conscious family lifestyle.
East meets West. Everyone feels better.

The “aha” moment.
As a developmental therapist traveling through India in the mid-nineties, I was exploring Yoga for my own interest when an ‘aha’ moment changed the course of my professional work.
I discovered the practice to be an exquisite way for both children and adults to integrate their sensory experiences while cultivating awareness, balance, stability and openness in both body and mind. This initial insight sparked a passion that continues to burn brightly as I share the timeless teachings of Yoga with students of all ages and abilities.
Why Work With Me?
You deserve an expert at your side and as a Registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level (E-RYT, RCYT) and a Certified Integrative Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) I can guide you skillfully to your desired outcome. I have been practicing yoga since I was in high school and have been teaching yoga to children and families since 1999, training others to teach yoga since 2002.
There are other resources available for you as well.
I am a Certified iRest Yoga Nidra teacher. “iRest” is short for “Integrative Restoration.” Research has shown that iRest Yoga Nidra effectively reduces PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder), depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and chemical dependency. iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.
I have also been using aromatherapy as a tool for wellbeing personally and professionally for the last 20 years.
With a degree in Child Psychology from The University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development, and specialized study in Communication Disorders, I am a child development therapist using yoga as the main tool for transformation. Yoga is a lifestyle of wellbeing, awareness and connection. I like to call myself a Yoga Life Stylist.
